Comedy Buddy
By Mark Davies on 13 September 2008 - comments
Don’t get me wrong – my buddy is great. We’ve had some top quality diving trips together, we dive together well and we get on with each other very famously. Truth be told, once he gets himself in the water he’s a really good diver – probably more capable than I am. The problem though is getting him into the water!
To save his embarrassment we’ll change his name.
We’ll call him Biff.
The lights are on . . .
The thing with Biff is he’s a little forgetful. Okay – I’ll expand on that. He’d forget his head if it wasn’t screwed on. Not that forgetting his head would prove much of a handicap, as most of the time I’m sure it’s filled with nothing more useful than cotton wool!
Planning a Scuba Diving trip abroad
By Alan Edwards on 9 August 2008 - comments
Planning is everything when organising a trip (which will have a high chance of success). How much you will enjoy the week’s liveaboard of shore dive has probably been determined before you even leave for the airport. It’s not a question of will you have sun or snow like other holiday makers. Safety, weather conditions and the quality of the dive centre operator are just some of the requirements for a good scuba diving trip abroad.

I do most of my diving abroad; had problems at the check-in desk, dealt with dodgy dive centres, ended up in a recompression chamber – in fact in my time I’ve dealt with most of the problems divers face travelling!
