While I’m happy just blowing bubbles or checking out a reef, it is the rusty stuff and the wet rock that hold my attention and that’s where my passions lie. I have a keen interest in wrecks and all things maritime and I love a good cave (ok… any cave) whether it be wet or dry for that matter.

My very first underwater experience was at Ningaloo Reef in Western Australia where I did a couple of try dives. I came away from the first dive thinking ‘this is what I want to do with my life!!’ Indeed over the past 6 years diving has been at the very center of my existence – just the way it should be!

I’m currently playing in the gorgeous Floridian caves but most of my diving has been in Australia. While diving in Oz is great wherever you go, I’m particularly fond of the temperate waters down South where the diving is truly sensational with deep and colorful reefs, plenty of interesting marine life and more wrecks then you can poke a stick at.

I love taking underwater photographs as it gives me a chance to show what is beneath the waves to those who aren’t lucky to see it for themselves. I think it’s awesome when people are inspired to learn how to dive or take an interest in caver preservation or the fate of a shipwreck or a marine creature after seeing images of what those environments actually look like and how incredible the world beneath the really is.

My fascination with wrecks that are pristine and largely untouched has meant going ever deeper, having to play with more ‘techie’ gear and a bunch of voodoo gasses. Typically, I want to go where no man has gone before… exploring and pushing new cave systems, finding new wrecks and getting to photograph places that no one has ever seen before, these are things that I aspire to do in the future. Until then there is a whole list of places I want to check out.
